This selec­tion from a larg­er series presents the view from with­in one of the 72 stu­pas in the upper lev­els of Borobudur, one of the largest Bud­dhist mon­u­ments in the world.  The view­er, sit­ting com­fort­ably in the “zone of form­less­ness” seems to look out onto moments from the many episodes in the carved reliefs along the low­er lev­els as well as onto scenes from the  sur­round­ing countryside.
