As the infra­struc­ture of the city dete­ri­o­rates, exca­va­tions sites pro­lif­er­ate in the streets. They have their own kind of impro­vised archi­tec­ture as the dig­ging pro­ceeds. Unearthing imag­ines a more pro­found notion of exca­va­tion as it exists in the nat­ur­al world where the lay­ers embody a sense of epic unearthing over time.
