Rime is a representation of the large window in my studio overlooking the Hudson River and industrial Manhattan.   This piece was occasioned by a recent trip to Florence, Italy, where I had lived and studied in the late 60’s.  The text is taken from a lyric poem by Petrarch that I had memorized at the time and remembered still for its beauty.  And the window becomes the locus for a conceptual revisitation, contemplation, and reverie.
